The dream of WILL was born in 1997 from a dramatic event that profoundly marked the life of its founder, Italian lawyer Marco Buscema. During a trip to Turkey, the bus he was traveling on plunged into a ravine. Marco survived, but the difficulties faced by the survivors, aggravated by the absence of adequate legal assistance, left a deep wound in him.
From that experience, a conviction was born: no one should feel alone when facing a legal problem, especially when far from their own country. Marco thus began building an international network of independent lawyers, united by excellence, passion, integrity, and ethics, and capable of operating across at least twenty time zones.
WILL was born, the Worldwide League of Independent Lawyers. In its name live the freedom to choose, the will to succeed, and the idea of a person you can count on anywhere in the world, transforming cultural differences into opportunities and distance into proximity.
